The MIKE Endowment Community Impact Fund is a sub-fund of The MIKE Endowment as a secondary mechanism to impact and effect change throughout Lake County, Florida and the Lake County School District. The Impact Fund was developed to provide additional flexibility in providing financial support to third-party efforts under the leadership and guidance of its Advisory Board. Such financial support may include things like educational programs, events, sponsorships, etc.
The Fund’s emphasis and guiding principles in determining the awarding of requests or expenditures will be based on furthering the goals of new or existing community efforts, programs, events, organizations, and/or other needs as identified by the Advisory Board in the area of mental health and wellness for youth/students, veterans, and the homeless, with the flexibility to entertain needs for other requests on a case-by-case basis.
The role of all Advisory Board Members is to ensure due diligence in the vetting of each request and the transparency of funding decisions so as to comply with the goals, objectives, guidelines and fiscal stewardship of The MIKE Endowment while also complying with all additional requirements and regulations set forth by the Mount Dora Community Trust (the custodian of The MIKE Endowment).
If you are a pubic schools educator in the Lake County Schools District, please use our submission form below to begin the process of requesting financial support from The MIKE Endowment Community Impact Fund.
